I’m hoping someone here has some advice or can share their experience. I’ve been getting harassed by Pendleton Capital Management for a few weeks now, and it’s getting out of hand. At first, I thought it was just standard collection stuff, but it’s become non-stop.
They’re calling me from multiple numbers, sometimes before 8 AM and after 9 PM. I’ve counted over 10 calls in a single day. What’s really frustrating is that they use different names every time they call. The caller ID will say one thing, but then the voicemail will be from "PCM Agency" or "Integrated Recovery Services." I read online that these are all just different business names for the same company, Pendleton Capital Management. It feels like a tactic to get around me blocking numbers.
I haven't even received a proper debt validation letter in the mail yet. When I try to talk to them to ask for more information, the representative was rude and made vague threats about potential legal action. It’s incredibly stressful and feels like outright harassment.
I found an article that breaks down exactly what they're doing and your rights under the FDCPA: https://protectionforconsumers.com/pendelton-capital-management-debt-collection-harassment/
It talks about how, because they buy debt, their tactics can be more aggressive. Has anyone here successfully gotten them to stop? Did you have to send a formal cease and desist letter or get a lawyer involved? I’m documenting every call now, but I’d love to hear what actually worked for you. Thanks
