Interesting read on the Canadian publishing landscape. It is kind of surprising how differently fiction and non-fiction get treated by publishers up here the market is pretty niche. Reminds me of technical documentation work, like
Delta storm water and erosion control manuals, which blur that fiction/non-fiction line in a way. Non-fiction covering site preparation or land grading rarely gets mainstream attention but honestly serves more practical, real-world purpose for most readers.
